Jersey City Police are looking into the motive behind a shooting in one of the city's neighborhoods Saturday morning.
It happed just before 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of North Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired and arrived to find a person inside a vehicle bleeding from what appeared at the time to be a bullet wound.
EMS arrived and determined that bullets did not strike the victim, but the vehicle's glass shattered on them after a gunman fired multiple rounds in the direction of the car.
Police say the victim's injuries were non-life threatening and the suspect fled the scene.
