There is an active and ongoing investigation into a shooting that injured a man in Trenton on Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of Garfield and Hobart avenues just before 7 a.m.
Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering gunshot wounds at that location. EMS transported the unidentified person to Helene Fuld Hospital for treatment.
The incident is the second overnight shooting in Trenton to start the new year 2020
Police say one person was detained for questioning at the scene.
