Police in Jersey City are investigating a shooting incident that injured a male early Thursday Morning.
According to the investigation, police were dispatched to the vicinity of 60 Fremont Steet after officers patrolling the Booker T. Housing development said they heard shots fired shortly before 2 a.m.
Units canvassed the area but did not find victims.
While officers searched the scene, Jersey City Medical Center officials alerted police when a gunshot victim entered the emergency room.
The victim's injuries have not been reported as life-threatening at this time.
Police have launched an active investigation.
