Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 6:04 a.m. Sunday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Pearl Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene but were unable to locate a victim.
A short time later officials said members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 26-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The victim is currently in critical condition.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
