Authorities in Hudson County are searching for a suspect who fired gunshots in a residential neighborhood late Sunday night, damaging property and narrowly missing residents inside a home.
According to police, officers responded to reports of shots fired near 154 Bayview Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered evidence of gunfire, including a home’s window shattered by a bullet.
Investigators determined that a stray bullet had entered the residence, but fortunately, no one inside was injured.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large as police work to determine the motive behind the shooting.
The incident remains under active investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Jersey City Police.
