Hudson County authorities are investigating an early morning shooting that fatally injured one person overnight.
Reports of shots fired that happened in the 400 block of 53rd Street sent police to the scene where they found an apparent victim of gunfire unconscious and unresponsive at that location.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
