Newark police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured in the city this morning.
Early morning reports of shots fired sent several police units to the 200 block of Bruce Street at around 5:30 a.m. where they found one person suffering a gunshot wound to the right arm. Police reportedly recovered shell casings inside a bedroom at that loocation.
The victim was transported to University Hospital reportedly with non-life threatening injuries.
There were no arrests reported.
