Authorities in Hillside are investigating a motive for the second straight night of gunfire that erupted on a street in the city's Westminster section of the city.
There were no injuries immediately reported in the shooting, but cops did locate evidence that a shooting had occurred on the block.
Residents in the 900 block of Roanoke Avenue ducked for cover inside their homes after hearing what the thought were multiple rounds of gunfire that ripped through the normally quiet block at around 9:25 p.m
Several police units rushed to the scene where they immediately sealed off the area and searched for evidence and a possible suspect responsible for the shooting.
As officers canvassed the block searching for possible victims and other evidence, residents observed through window curtains waiting to see if any new developments in what some described as "utter chaos" for the last two evenings.
"We just spoke to you all this morning and just like that, we see you all again. This is not good" several residents told RLS Metro Breaking News.
The shooting comes less than 24-hours after a male victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound when he was reportedly shot on the block during what residents believed to be some type of celebration that got out of hand in a house that was occupied by "young people" residents said.

"I really hope we don't have to get use to this" a long time resident of Roanoke said.
"That's two nights in a row and this is suppose to be the nicer section of Hillside. I don't know what to say. This is crazy" the Roanoke resident continued.
Both shootings are under investigation by the Hillside Police Department.
