Police in Newark's South Ward are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred in a neighborhood Sunday night.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Clinton and Seymour avenues at approximately 1:45 a.m. sending police to the scene to investigate.
Arriving officers found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after they searched the area, no victims were located according to police.
Police recovered several shell casings at the scene, but the suspect fled the scene and remain at-large.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
