Elizabeth Police are on the search for a gunman who fired shots in a section of the city Friday.
Late-night gunfire erupted in the vicinity of Second Street and Clark Place around shortly before 9 p.m. prompting a police investigation.
Upon arrival, officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred, but after canvassing the neighborhood, no gunshot victims were located.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene and is at large.
Police have not said who the gunman’s target was and the investigation remains active.
