There were no injuries reported in a shots fired incident that occurred near several businesses in Newark's South Ward on Friday night.
Police officers were called to the Popeyes/Burger King restaurants located in the 200 block of Elizabeth Avenue to investigate reports of shots fired that rang out in the area just before 10:30 p.m.
Units arrived to find over a half dozen shell casings, in the parking lot of the Jersey Fried Chicken but after officers searched the area, there were no victims found according to reports.
The motive for the shooting has not been released and the suspect remains at-large.
