Police reported no injuries in an early morning shooting that happened near a bar in Newark Sunday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 3 a.m., gunfire erupted near the Mercedes and Minks Cocktail Lounge located near the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Pierce Street.
Officers arrived at the scene and found about six shell casings, but no victims were located after cops canvassed the scene,
The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Authorities have not confirmed if the incident initiated from the bar at this time.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
