Police in Newark are investigating a shooting incident near a highway in the city Saturday morning.
Gunfire erupted about a block away from the entrance ramp to the Garden State Parkway at 456 14th Avenue just before 3:00 a.m.
Police arrived at the scene and found several shell casings, but an area check revealed no injuries.
The suspect who fired the weapon fled the scene and has b not been apprehended.
Police have not reported a motive for the shooting at his time.
