An early morning shooting in Montclair in Montclair is under investigation by police.
Gunfire erupted in the 80's block of Pine Street a little after midnight sending police to the scene where officers located evidence that a shooting occurred but no victims.
Police officers canvassed the scene and located one shell casing as they attempted to determine the motive behind the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
