Elizabeth Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that happened in one of the city's neighborhoods on Wednesday evening.
It happened near the intersection of North Broad Street and Salem Avenue just before 11:40 p.m.
Police say units arrived at the scene after receiving reports of shots fired. Police found multiple shell casings in an alley behind the laundromat.
According to police, a person bleeding from their neck received medical attention at the scene.
Elizabeth officials have not immediately confirmed if bullets struck the injured person.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspect is at-large.
