NJ Governor Murphy signed an executive order that allows renters to direct their landlords to use their security deposits to pay off rents, whether that be to make up for a shortfall or to pay it in full.
Renters would have six months to replenish the security deposits.
During his daily press conference, Murphy announced today that coronavirus cases in New Jersey have escalated to 100,000 patients with 253 more deaths.
The death toll has now reached 5,617 and 102,196 total cases Governor Murphy said.
