Governor Phil Murphy has announced that he is going to be self-quarantining after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
Governor Murphy announced, at an unrelated press conference on Wednesday, that he was just been informed that he had come into contact with someone who tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday. He told those in attendance that he will be taking himself "off the field" and self-quarantining
According to reports, the Governor was last tested on Monday and the results came back negative. He said that he is not currently experiencing symptoms but is planning to re-test as soon as possible, as a precaution.
