Newark and the North Jersey region are set to enjoy a gorgeous Friday, with weather conditions perfect for welcoming the weekend.
As we approach the last Friday of June, residents can expect low humidity, abundant sunshine, and pleasant temperatures, making it an ideal day to spend outdoors.
This morning, temperatures in Newark woke up to a very comfortable 66 degrees. Even cooler conditions are present in Sussex County, where it's definitely jacket weather early in the day.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 77 degrees. A north wind of around 7 mph will shift to the south in the afternoon, maintaining the day's pleasantness.
Tonight, NWS forecasters said the area will experience partly cloudy skies with a low of around 65 degrees, and a gentle south wind of 5 to 7 mph will continue.
