The company announced today that it plans to close approximately 200 stores this year.
According to the company's store portfolio, GNC intends to close those stores as they continue to negotiate leases and or look into relocation opportunities which may impact the amount of stores closings.
They expect a limited number of new store openings in 2018.
According to the companies first-quarter earnings they are approximately $1.3 billion in debt. In the first three months of 2018, GNC reported a net income of $6.2 million compared to last year’s report around the same time was $24.7 million.
The company has not yet announced which stores will be closing nor if any of its locations throughout New Jersey would be affected.
