Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester City Police Chief Brian Morrell announced a Gloucester man has been arrested and charged with distribution and possession of Explicit Images of Minors.
Christopher J. Campi, 48, is charged with second-degree distribution and third-degree possession of more than 20,000 images of Explicit Images of Minors.
On July 6, 2016, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit working in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations, the Gloucester Township Police Department, the Barrington Police Department, the Gloucester City Police Department and the Camden County Sheriff’s Department Tactical Team executed a search warrant at the 300 block of Walnut Avenue in Gloucester City after receiving information a resident living at that address was in possession of known Explicit Images of Minors.
A search of the residence produced numerous digital media devices. An onsite preview of a computer yielded more than 20,000 images of Explicit Images of Minors.
Campi was remanded to the Camden County Jail on $100,000 full cash bail.
