Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester City Police Chief Brian Morrell announced detectives arrested a Gloucester City man and seized dozens of firearms this morning while conducting a explicit images of minors investigation.
George Walker, 34, was taken into custody after the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at approximately 5:30 a.m. today at his home on the 800 block of Brown Street.
Detectives located several hard drives and digital media devices containing numerous videos of explicit images of minors. Additionally, investigators seized 81 firearms – including six assault-style rifles – as well as numerous containers of ammunition and approximately 25 high-capacity magazines.
Walker was charged with one count each of possession of explicit images of minors and distribution of explicit images of minors. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail with bail set at $50,000. Additional charges for weapons offenses are pending.
The investigation began after detectives monitoring a peer-to-peer file-sharing program noticed videos of explicit images of minors were being downloaded and shared from an IP address associated with Walker’s home.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit worked in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations, the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Gloucester City Police Department on this case. The Camden County Sheriff’s Office SERT Team assisted in the execution of the search warrant.
