Essential workers at Clara Maass Hospital were given care packages as a token of gratitude for fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Glen Ridge Congregational Church visited staff at the Belleville medical center on Friday, February 11.
Officials said church members brought approximately 60 homemade care packages to patients at the hospital to bring cheers and thanks to workers inside the medical center.
Some of the care packages included energy bars and drinks, snacks, and letters of appreciation for the medical center's healthcare heroes who are on the frontlines battling this deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
Church officials said Clara Maass workers have dedicated themselves to patient care since the pandemic started in 2020.
