Police arrested and charged a Glassboro man in a homicide that happened in Camden on August 24, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.
According to Camden County officials, after receiving a ShotSpotter notification for the 1600 block of Kolo Street around 11 p.m., police found Mr. Michael Twiggs, 27, of Camden, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say Twiggs was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
A thorough investigation led to the arrest of Tyrell Gibbs of Glassboro, who is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of an Assault Firearm and one count second-degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose.
Police say he was arrested on August 31 by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division on the Unit Block of Hopewell Street in Sicklerville.
Gibbs was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility, awaiting a Centralized First Appearance.
