Newark and the North Jersey region are in for an unseasonable treat as they prepare to wrap up their workweek.
Weather forecasts indicate that temperatures will climb to levels more commonly associated with late summer than late October.
As of 4:30 a.m., the region is already experiencing milder conditions compared to recent days, with the mercury hovering at a comfortable 65 degrees.
According to data from the National Weather Service, the day ahead promises a mix of clouds and sunshine, ultimately giving way to a sunny afternoon.
Forecasters say high temperatures are expected to reach an impressive 81 degrees. While the morning will see a calm wind, a gentle westward breeze of around six mph is anticipated as the day progresses.
Friday night is set to be mostly clear, offering a pleasant and mild evening.
The nighttime low is forecasted to dip to 61 degrees, with a subtle southwest wind blowing at speeds of 3 to 6 mph.
Saturday will maintain this delightful trend, with temperatures nearing the 80-degree mark.
Fall is indeed in the air, but for now, residents of Newark and North Jersey can savor the unexpected warmth and enjoy these beautiful autumn days.
