Police officials in Hillside are on the search for as many as two suspects who are wanted for pistol-whipping a gas station attendant during an overnight robbery at the business.
According to preliminary reports, it happened just before midnight at the BP Gas Station located at 600 Route 22 East.
Police say two male suspects arrived at the gas station and demanded cash from employees before attacking the attendant with a weapon.
It is unclear how much proceeds the suspects took before the fled the scene in a vehicle immediately after the robbery.
The attendant suffered non-life threatening injuries and the suspects remain on the loose according to reports.
