Police in Irvington are on the search for as many as 10 suspects wanted for a series of gang assaults that happened in the area of Allen Street and Hillside Terrace overnight.
Reports of a serious assault sent police to the area at around midnight where they found a male victim suffering serious injuries after being attacked by several people.
The victim reported that while attempting to walk home, he was approached by as as many as 10 black males who began to attack and beat him for no apparent reason. The victim's injuries were not considered life threatening.
During the police investigation, units also found several other people in the area that reported being attacked by the same group of suspects.
All of the victims except for the initial victim were reported to be Hispanics.
The suspects are possibly juveniles.
