The family of Ms. Esther V. Highsmith (a long time resident of Newark) are preparing to say goodbye to the 106-year-old woman who spent more than 75 years as a resident in the city of Newark.
According to Highsmith's family, viewing for her is schedule for this morning at 9:00am and will proceed with her funeral that's set to begin at 11 a.m. at The First Hopewell Baptist Church located at 525 Orange Street in Newark where she was an active member for 75 years.
Highsmith made her transition on Monday November 9th in Paterson. She will be joined during the same service with her son, 75-year-old Edward "Eddy"Highsmith who made his transition one day after his mom's passing.
The family welcomes the community to the services.
