Frigid Tuesday Morning as Temperatures Drop Below Freezing in Newark

Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a bitterly cold Tuesday morning. As of 4:30 a.m., temperatures were 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

However, strong winds are making it feel much colder, with wind chill values dropping to a frosty 22 degrees.

The cold snap is expected to persist throughout the day, and residents are advised to bundle up and prepare for the chilly conditions.

AdAccording to the National Weather Service, the forecast for today includes increasing cloud cover, with a high near 32 degrees and wind chill values ranging between 20 and 25.

Tonight, skies will gradually clear, and temperatures will dip further to around 22 degrees, with wind chill values between 10 and 20.
