Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to another bitterly cold morning, with temperatures well below freezing and wind chills making it feel even colder.
As of 4:30 a.m., temperatures in Newark hover around 19 degrees, but with the wind chill, it feels like 13 degrees.
Other parts of North Jersey are experiencing even lower real-feel temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will be mainly clear to start the day, allowing for plenty of sunshine, though it will do little to ease the cold.
Later in the afternoon, after 1 p.m., there is a 50 percent chance of snow showers with increasing cloud cover and a high near 29 degrees.
Wind chills will remain between 10 and 20 degrees, keeping conditions brisk.
By tonight, snow showers could continue before 1 a.m., followed by gradually clearing skies. Lows will drop to around 20 degrees, making for another chilly overnight period.

As winter continues to grip the region, residents should bundle up and prepare for a cold but potentially snowy afternoon.
