Four Newark Residents Arrested in Assault, Kidnapping of 13-Year-Old at Harrison Hotel

Four individuals have been charged following the assault and attempted explicit assault of a 13-year-old girl inside a hotel room in Harrison, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.   Ad

The incident occurred early Sunday morning, December 29, 2024, when Newark police were notified that a juvenile was being held against her will at a hotel on Passaic Avenue.

Officers quickly responded and located the victim, who reported being locked in the room by acquaintances, physically assaulted, and subjected to an attempted sexual assault.

The victim also said that firearms were present during the attack.  

A subsequent search of the hotel room, authorized by the court, led to the discovery of two handguns and hollow point bullets.  

The Hudson County Special Victims Unit, working alongside the Harrison and Newark Police Departments, arrested four suspects following an extensive investigation.  

 

Two of the suspects, both 15-year-old girls from Newark, were charged with kidnapping, assault, attempted explicit assault, and multiple weapons offenses.   Ad

In addition, two adult males, Tavin McCullough and Kyle Green were arrested and charged with various offenses. 

The investigation remains active.
