Four Essex County Senior Athletes Celebrate Collegiate Commitments on Spring Signing Day

Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell, New Jersey, celebrated Spring Signing Day this Tuesday with four of its senior athletes committing to prestigious colleges.NinosThis event highlights the school's long-standing tradition of nurturing young women to excel in various fields, including athletics.

Eliza Haghighi has committed to continue her soccer career at Rutgers Newark after an impressive run that earned her a place on the 2023 SEC Liberty Division 2nd Team. Her dedication and skills on the field have not only led her team to success but have now opened the door to further her passion at a collegiate level.

Similarly, Frankie Mansfield, another soccer star from Mount St. Dominic, will join Lenoir-Rhyne University. Her outstanding abilities also secured her a spot on the 2023 SEC Liberty Division 2nd Team, promising a bright future in her sport.

Track athlete Riley Merklinger is set to sprint into her future at Loyola University Maryland, following a remarkable season that landed her on the 2023 All-Conference SEC Liberty Division 1st Team. Her speed and dedication on the track exemplify the spirit of determination that Mount St. Dominic aims to instill in its students.Real EstateMolly Schweitzer will take her golf talents to Juniata College, where she is expected to continue excelling with her precise and focused approach to the game. Her commitment to golf and her ability to perform under pressure will undoubtedly serve her well in collegiate competitions.
