An overnight fire that destroyed a house in Passaic has officials investigating.
Fire broke out at 163-165 Harrison Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. sending firefighters to the scene where they observed heavy fire that was ripping through the second floor of the house.
According to fire officials, heavy fire started in the basement of 163 Harrison Avenue and quickly spreading throughout the home, eventually extending to the neighboring house at 165 Harrison Avenue.
Firefighters were evacuated from both building and attacked the four-alarm fire from the exterior.
There were no injuries reported.
Both houses were destroyed.
