James Carey, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director, announced that there were four third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for the Friday, Dec. 14th drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize.
Those tickets were purchased at the following locations:
Bergen County: Kings Supermarket, 70 Union Ave., Cresskill;
Essex County: Gateway Center News, One Gateway Center, Newark;
Hudson County: Litos Liquors, 220 Harrison Ave., Harrison; and
Monmouth County: Shoprite #637, 1801 Route 35, Belmar.
If those tickets had been purchased with the Megaplier option, the prizes would be multiplied to $40,000. The winning numbers for the Friday, Dec. 14th drawing were: 05, 22, 26, 43 and 49. The Gold Mega Ball was 23, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
In addition, 23 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $2,000. Moreover, 32,807 other New Jersey players took home $148,282 in prizes ranging from $2 to $800, according to Carey.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said Carey. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
