Founder of Special Needs School in Lakewood Pleads Not Guilty in $1M Corruption Case

Lakewood Township

A 61-year-old rabbi accused of stealing approximately a million dollars from a school he founded for special needs children, pleaded not guilty to theft and corruption charges.

Officials said Rabbi Osher Eisemann, founder of The School for Children with Hidden Intelligence in Lakewood, misappropriated $979,000 in public tuition funds the school received. In addition, authorities said Eisemann from those funds allegedly made a $450,000 payment to an entity in New York to pay back-due taxes.

During today’s court hearing, Eisemann's lawyer informed the court that his client can account for all the money in question.
