A 31-year-old former assistant instructor in Passaic County was convicted of sexually assaulting a minor.
According to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Luke V. Bakula was Found guilty of two counts of sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
Officials say Bakula assaulted the then 9-year-old at her Bloomingdale home and at Porta’s Karate Dojo Academy in Pompon Lakes between November 2005 and July 2006.
Authorities say Bakula is scheduled to be sentenced June 7th.
