A former Bloomfield firefighter is facing a possible sentence of 500 years in prison after being charged this week with 21 counts of possession of child pornography in Wisconsin authorities said.
Donald M. Jervis, 52, on Tuesday was charged with 17 counts of possession of child pornography and four counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a child.
Police in Kenosha executed a search warrant on Jervis’ home in the 9300 block of 62nd Street on Thursday after they were alerted to the possibility that he might be attempting to distribute child pornography via email.
He allegedly admitted he was attempting to email multiple child pornography images and multiple child pornography videos to his girlfriend and admitted looking at child pornography and sending images and videos of child pornography for approximately the past five years.
Jervis reportedly moved to Kenosha after retiring from the Bloomfield fire department.
Pornographic images and videos found on his computers showed children as young as approximately 2 to 4 years old being sexually assaulted by adults.
Jervis was appointed captain of the Bloomfield Fire Department October 4th 2010 according to public documents obtained.
Jervis could face up to 25 years in prison and fines of up to $100,000.
