Authorities in Middlesex County announced that a 64-year-old man has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault and Sexual Assault.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Lawrence Cattano of the Perth Amboy Police reported that an investigation was conducted into allegations that a juvenile female was sexually assaulted by Martin Klose in 1984.
Officials stated following the investigation conducted by Detective Riscardo Rosado of the Perth Amboy Police and Detective Ryan Stolte of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Martin Klose, 64, of Fords, was charged with one count of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and one count of second-degree Sexual Assault.
According to officials, on August 24, 2023, Martin Klose was apprehended in the Fords section of Woodbridge.
Klose is presently lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court, officials say.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
