Police in Paterson took three suspects into custody after a pursuit of a carjacked vehicle had the suspect bail from the car leading officers on a foot chase in a Paterson neighborhood Friday night.
According to preliminary reports, police began to follow the driver of a grey Nissan Altima at around 9:15 p.m.
Police say the vehicle was carjacked in a section of Paterson earlier Sunday.
The driver refused to stop and sped through several neighborhoods before he bailed from the car in the area of East 19th Street and 9th Avenue.
According to police, three other suspects exited the vehicle and began to run through the community in an attempt to evade capture.
Three suspects were captured after the pursuit, while police officers checked the neighborhood for the fourth person who reportedly remains at-large.
There were no serious injuries reported.
