The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office assisted in the investigation involving a pedestrian strike that killed a food delivery driver in Fairview Friday evening.
According to police, the 79-year-old woman was struck in the vicinity of Bergen Boulevard and at Kamena Street just before 7:35 p.m. while making a delivery to an address in the area.
Police say the woman was pronounced dead a short time later by medical personnel.
The driver of the car that struck the woman stayed at the scene and was taken into Police Headquarters for questioning.
