Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director, announced that there were no Mega Millions game jackpot or second tier New Jersey prize winners, but there were five prize winning tickets sold from at the same retail location that matched the four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball for the Tuesday, Nov. 17 drawing.
All of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option increasing the $5,000 third prize to $15,000.
The lucky retail location is in Union County at Rahway News & Foods, 960 St. Georges Ave., Rahway. The retail store owner does not know if these tickets were purchased by a single individual or numerous customers.
In addition, there were 33 players, whose tickets matched the 4 white balls, making their tickets worth $500. Nine of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, making them worth $1,500 each.
Moreover, 59,721 other New Jersey players took home $113,310 in prizes ranging from $1 to $150, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Nov. 17 drawing were: 12, 14, 18, 24 and 61. The Gold Mega Ball was 10, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03
