Five Arrested for Unlawfully Entering Harrison Catholic School

Police took four suspects into custody after a possible burglary a Catholic School in Harrison last night.

According to a preliminary investigation, Harrison Police were dispatched to Holy Cross Catholic School at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday after they received reports of several people inside the school that's adjacent to the church.

Authorities said, as first responding officers were checking for unsecured entrances on the Jersey Street side of the school a group, of what appeared to be juveniles, exited a basement door and ran passed the responding officer and towards Church Square.

While officers began to canvass the area in search of the suspects, a resident at Church Square called 911 complaining about noises in their yard.

Several police units responded and began to search yards where they found four suspects hiding under a resident's deck.

Police said they located a fifth suspect running from the scene on Harrison Avenue.

The adult suspects were identified as **Jair Zevallos and Kevin Maia** are from Kearny, and **Andres Villalobos and Angel Guevara** are from Harrison were charged with Criminal Trespass and Resisting Arrest. Police also placed a juvenile in custody.

During a search of the school, police said nothing appeared missing.

It is not immediately clear why the suspects entered the school as the investigation is active police said.
