Firefighters in Newark's North Ward extinguished a fast-moving fire that ignited inside a house early Saturday morning.
According to offcials, firefighters were called to 73 Lincoln Avenue near May Street to investigate reports of a fire at that location.
Upon arrival, crews observed flames showing from a top floor window of a three-story wood-framed house.
Crews immediately stretched several lines before entering the structure to search for trapped and injured occupants, which came back negative.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in under a half hour, according to officials.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
