There were no injuries reported in an early morning fire that broke out inside a vacant house in Newark according to officials.
Heavy fire tore through a two and a half story house located at 82 Green Street shortly before 3 a.m. reports said.
Firefighters arrived to the scene to find flames beginning to extend to a second vacant house next door.
Crews were able to bring the blaze under control in less than an hour with demolition crews beginning the process of knocking down what remained of the structure that was in close proximity to The Prudential Center.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
