Firefighters in Kearny knocked down a fast-moving fire that ignited inside a scrap yard in the city overnight.
Crews rushed to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue after they received reports of some type of structure fire at around 11:30 p.m.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found fire heavy fire inside two trailers that reportedly contained scrap metal and astroturf and began to extinguish the blaze.
A public information search had the location unofficially listed as Weldon Materials Inc., but officials did not confirm if any other business may have occupied the yard.
It took firefighters under an hour to bring the blaze under control with no injuries reported.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
