Crews responded to a fast moving fire at a structure on Godwin Avenue in Paterson this afternoon.
Firefighters responded to Godwin Avenue address sometime before 2 p.m. where smoke quickly filled the area.
As firefighters battled the multi-alarm fire, a second fire broke out around the corner on Rosa Parks Boulevard.
Although no residents were injured, as many as 31 have been displaced by the fires.
At least six firefighters were treated with minor injuries and heat exhaustion. The cause of the fires remains under investigation.
