Fighters Sunday responded to two fires and a porch collapse in Elizabeth.
The first fire was reported on the 100 block of Jaques Street where firefighters encountered flames in the rear porch which extended to the home’s second floor and attic.
Officials say the second fire occurred in the 900 block of Kenneth & 900 block of Spofford avenues. Arriving crews found both rear detached garages, which were adjacent to each other, up in flames.
Finally, crews responded to the 200 block of Christine Street for a report of a porch collapse.
Officials say one person was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the fires and collapse remain under investigation.
