Firefighters battled an early morning fire that erupted inside a home in East Orange Tuesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the fast-moving fire was reported at 103 South Burnet Street just before 3:42 a.m.

Firefighters arrived and found heavy fire coming from the rear of a two and a half story wood-framed house with smoke billowing from the structure.
Crews swiftly knocked down flames on the first floor of the home, but fire tore through the second and third floors, according to officials.
As of 4:40 a.m., there were no reports of injuries and firefighters contained to knock down fire that made its way into the cockloft of the house.
**UPDATE 4:59 am** Fire under control. No injuries reported.
The cause is under investigation.
