Firefighters Battle Three-Alarm Fire in New Brunswick

An early morning fire that caused massive damage to a house in New Brunswick has fire officials investigating.

The early morning fire broke out inside a two-story house located at 250 Somerset Street, shortly before 3 a.m., sending firefighters to the scene where they found heavy flames coming from the roof of the structure upon their arrival.

More than two dozen firefighters battled cold conditions while extinguishing the blaze that spread throughout the house but was able to keep the fire from extending to neighboring homes.

Crews brought the fire under control in about an hour with no injuries reported.
