About 70 firefighters with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service battled to get a raging forest fire under control in Little Egg Harbor Township on Sunday.
According to officials, the massive wildfire broke out at Bass River State Forest just before 4:35 p.m. sending firefighters to the scene to knock down the blaze.
Rob Gill, with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, told ABC 6 Action News that the fire had consumed roughly 900 acres of land that splits between Ocean and Burlington counties.
As of 2 a.m. on Monday, officials are reporting zero percent of the fire contained
No injuries are reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
