An early morning two-alarm blaze in East Orange left a firefighter injured and two Hollywood Avenue homes with substantial damage.
Crews responded to the 100 block Hollywood Avenue - off of Central Avenue - sometime after 6 a.m. for a report of a fire.
Upon their arrival, firefighters encountered massive fire that ripped through the roof of a home then extended to at least one other.
The fire was placed under control within 90 minutes with a search of both structures resulting in no injured or trapped victims.
At least one firefighter suffered minor injuries in the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
